The tradition of street painting is traced back to 16th century Italy where artists would use their chalks to transform pavement into a makeshift canvas, street painting has retained its appeal through the centuries. As in ages past, crowds still gather to watch as fine works of art emerge.

of Cranes Roost Park as their canvas at the Uptown Art Expo!
Attendees can vote to choose the Winner of the People’s Choice Chalk Art Award!
Place an Uptown Art Expo Gold Coin in the Bucket next to your Favorite Chalk Art Work!
The Winner Chalk Artist at the end of the festival will win and additional $250 Award!

Call for amazing chalk artists! Our chalk art Exhibition will begin Saturday, March 23th, 2024 at 8:30am.
There are up to 20 - 5’x7’ panels and 2 - 11’ x9’ panels available. If you have another size suggestion, let us know.
Each registered chalk space will receive a stipend, box lunch and bottled waters during the exhibition.
The UpTown Art Expo will conduct a People’s Choice Award contest. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the festival and will receive a cash awards of 1st Place - $250, 2nd Place - $150 - 3rd Place - $75.
Chalk artists are welcome to come back on Sunday to display and promote their masterpiece work.
UpTown Art Expo Chalk Artist Deadline is January 15th. 2024 - 2024 Registration is completed.
